Ortodoxa Clothing
Ortodoxa is a confessional brand that brings together two seemingly distant worlds: high theology rooted in the Reformed tradition and Christian intellectualism — and urban culture — the streets, hip hop, the underground.
The name comes from the combination of two Greek words: Ortho (correct) + Doxa (glory). Together, they express the longing of the early Puritans: not merely to reform doctrine, but to restore Christian worship according to biblical truth.
Ortodoxa is historical. One of its pillars is the recognition of what came before us. We believe that looking back to the Middle East, the birthplace of faith; to Europe, the stage of the Reformation and major church milestones; and to Brazil, our current context is essential for building something truly new. We don’t aim to imitate foreign aesthetics, but to create a visual language that is ours, rooted in our own reality.
The brand’s visual solution reflects this blend of worlds: an aesthetic that honors the past and points toward the future through color, approach, and typography.
The Ortodoxa icon carries this same spirit: past, present, and future converge in a symbol that speaks of redemption and the announcement of the coming Kingdom. It is built on two central elements: nails (the sacrifice of Christ, a historical fact that continues to shape us) and trumpets (the proclamation of truth, the call to eternity).
